It took more than 8,000 pounds of ice and an entire sleepless night for these Butte artists to create an ice sculpture in front of the Butte Plaza Mall.
The Gransberys will be joining Outlaw Partners, publisher of Explore Big Sky, at the 2022 inaugural Winter Fest for a free ice carving demonstration outside of the Wilson Hotel in Town Center Plaza on Friday, Feb. 4 at 4 p.m. There, he will demonstrate his techniques and answer questions from passersby.
An interactive ice carving done by Butte's Absolute Zero Ice Design will be carved from 12-5 at the High Altitude Skate Center. Come see this year's creation come to life and enjoy the ice carving for weeks after.
According to Absolute Zero Ice Design , who is helping host the event along with Mainstreet Uptown Butte, there are 25 sponsors and locations that will be a part of Saturday's activities.
